April 7, 2010 - very nice - almost sweet - Brooke would like this and and so would Dani

December 17, 2008 - This wine tasted fabulous at the winery, but was quite a disappointment when opened in a not-very-chilled state at home. After it went back in the freezer for a quick cooling, it tasted much better, but it still didn't reach the heights of the impression it gave when tasted in Anderson Valley.
Nevertheless, this is a well crafted medium to full bodied Pinot Gris with the typical nose of green apple and light cherry blossom flavors on the palate. The high alcohol (15.6%) shows and it catches up with you quickly, but the wine is not "hot". Overall, this is a good buy if you don't mind the high alcohol content--the wine's main disadvantage in my opinion.
