November 26, 2018 - Ok, 12 years later, this wine is fully mature. Its got nuttiness, with just the right touch of butter and light oak. If it had bigger acidity, it would be wowing! Ready to drink but was fresh and very composed. This is great winemaking. Drink

September 21, 2011 - I think I found a new love in this producer's Chardonnay. This is everything I look for in quality white juice.
The nose had a striking fresh lemon scent coupled with cantaloupe, wet slate, lots of lush minerals, some moderate oak and butter, but not at all overwhelming.
Precise and focused aromatics that draw the drinker in again and again. This is unique when compared to 99% of California Chardonnay. There is so much body and concentration but it has stunning crispness and clarity. I love it.
The palate is long and well endowed, but again it comes across brisk and full of finesse and elegance. There is a chalky mid palate that I've only experienced in the best full bodied whites in the world. The finish is a play of lean complexity. A wonderful wine that I would recommend to anyone looking for a special Sonoma Chard experience. -
