March 29, 2014 - Since I have had 2006 Stonier Pinot Noir Reserve a couple weeks ago, I happened to have this basic Pinot Noir from the same vintage and the same producer. The aromas are lush and perfumed. Medium body, with strawberry, herbs and woods on the palate. Still some bitterness in the end. Showed some common grounds with Pinot Noir Reserve, less oaky and more fruity.

A good example for entry-level new world pinot, but I prefer New Zealand pinot at the price point. I suggest to go for Stonier Pinot Noir Reserve if you are interested in this winery.

January 20, 2011 - Slightly bricked color. Raspberry fruit and orange peel. Pretty ordinary.

March 16, 2009 - Bristol Wine Company In Store Wine Tasting (Bristol Wine Company, Victoria Street, Bristol): Light, slightly orange colour. Very perfumed nose with red fruits, a little oak and a lovely floral touch. Rich assemblage of summer fruits is let down a little by a slightly awkward finish. Good to very good. £14.45.

March 12, 2009 - Wine Education Service - Pinot Noir (Imperial College): Animal farmyard smells, then sweet fruit and herbs.
A sweet attack but the alcohol shows through, lacking fruit, quite soft in the mid palate.

November 2, 2008 - Excellent nose of red fruit and surprising complexity. Based on this you could mistake it for a good Burgundy red. Similar on the palate but a little short finish. Very nice though.
