  January 14, 2010 - Decent Bordeaux without any major ups or downs. Nothing wrong with it, though there's nothing really exciting going on. On balance, I expect a bit more when spending 20 EUR on a bottle of wine.

  May 3, 2009 - As I had a couple of bottles of the 03 vintage of this wine in the past I was desperate to try the 05. I decanted the wine for 1 1/2 hours before I poured it back into the bottle and consumed it over three evenings (vacuum pumped). The wine was dark purple in colour.
  
  The first evening the nose was smoky, with floral notes, dark fruits and spices. On the palate, the wine was a little flat, with dark and red fruits. The second night, the wine was a little tighter on the nose (with hints of sour cherries and leather), but a little rounder and more elegant on the palate. On the third evening, the wine seemed to have gained structure and complexity making me guess that it will last a couple of years.
  
  The wine was very similar in style to the 03, almost like a slightly more intense version of the 03. Despite its young age the wine is drinking very well right now. It could, however, benefit from one or two more years in the cellar.
