July 26, 2014 - Although I read that GV can be aged, I was a disappointed with this bottle. It tasted flat and uninteresting. Some fruit (peaches, apples) but the wine was off-balance with acidity and minerality very much in the background. One bottle left, I will give it a fe years, just to see what happens.

March 8, 2013 - Upon opening, an aroma of white flowers, pears, maybe apples. On the palate, white fruit, green apples, acidity, minerality, with a quinine edge that softens as the wine is exposed to air, but never goes away. Provides a transition to a fairly long and tasty finish. Somewhat reminiscent of a white CDP.

January 13, 2012 - Still tight, unlike any wine I've tasted before. Great minerality, apples, flowers, a bitter edge on the finish that grip the tongue. Very enjoyable.

November 26, 2011 - used part to make shrimp scampi and drank the rest. Other comments are right on. Good use for the bottle. Enjoyable.

December 28, 2010 - Used half of it for in chicken with 40 cloves of garlic; just had a glass of the remainder this evening. As before: clean, minerally, grassy; lightly buttery. A very clean taste, for want of a better descriptor, and a pleasure to drink.

(Meinhard Forstreiter Gruner Veltliner Tabor) #2; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-passion fruit w/ smokey aspect; TASTE-intense; great acidity; heavy layer of chalk on the mouthfeel; little unfocused on the back-end; all in all a monstrous wine w/ great raw talent which I think will come together over time; there's an interesting lemon scented kitchen cleaning component on the back-end; I'm yearning a piece of cheese; this could be special w/ food; WS-94; GV-90
