July 2, 2022 - Lovely wine that's aged brilliantly. A great reminder of how Alsace riesling can age (when some haven't so well). Terrific value, too. Lovely!

Medium straw. Nose shows ripe apple, notes of kerosene. Medium bodied, quite broad and oily, ripe apple, spice, touch of creaminess, lovely vibrant acids, good length finish. Still drinking well. -

April 8, 2020 - 2/3, good cork.
Pale/medium straw, touch of gold. Developed, fumey nose - petrol, apple, peach, spice. Medium bodied, lovely oily weight, quite tangy, touch of spice, vibrant acidity, good length petrolly, spicy finish. Slightly off-dry? Very good indeed, still going strong. -

February 1, 2018 - This 12 year old bottle of beautiful was sadly opened by my wife and mostly put in the cooking.
For some reason she left one glass behind and I am tasting it after 24+ hours open.
A: Deep Gold.
N: Very aromatic. Smoke. Lanolin. A little nutty. Mature, but vivid and alive.
P: Very rich, complex palate. Packed with fruit. quite a bit of resid. sugar makes it attractive. Really weighty and very zippy at the end. Its got a bit of everything.
=: Delicious. Complex. Evolving. Plenty of life. I bet it benefitted from 24 hours of air, but I will never know....
So sad it had this sort of end. I hope to God she doesn't do the same thing with my last 2005 Trimbach. -
