    February 8, 2023 - Disclaimer: 2002 vintage in 2023.

    C - Amber
N - Clean. Medium intensity. Primary yellow apple, pear, tropical notes like canned pineapple. Tertairy marsipan, wax, almonds. The wine is old and matured.
T - Dry. All the primary and tertairy. Accidity medium plua, intensity medium plus. Finish is long and complex.
    C - Very good

Under normal circumstances one would drink this young, but once in while an old bottle turns up. This is still very much alive and kicking. I was totally prepared for vinegar but is actually good. ItÅ› complex and not an easy drink but very interesting.

January 3, 2005 - With a casual dinner of slightly spicy tacos, with family that are occasional, non-serious wine drinkers. I am predisposed to likethis, as it is one of my house quaffers and good QPR. This is the first bottle out of the latest case I've bought, so it gets a note.

Soft, light yellow/green, but bright and clear. Floral and grapey nose, clearly showing gewurz and muscat. There is a slightly metallic/mineral edge to the nose that may be riesling (or may be my imagination). Otherwise, simple but nicely persistent nose. Good streak of acidity on palate amidst simple peach and apricot fruit. Not exactly taut and not complicated, but a good foil to a simple spicy meal.

March 15, 2004 - Medium-gold colour. Honey, lychee, petrol, honeysuckle aromas on the nose. Medium-bodied, with apple, lychee. High in acid, but not much there. Was expecting more. Short finish.
