June 30, 2017 - Flashing Alicante (Alicante - España): Served by the glass. Initially yeast splash wrapped in a citrus mantle. Bubble is too obvious so do as James Bond does, better shaken, not beaten.
Very short in the mouth where the memories of fresh white fruit stand out. Butter is just reserved to the aftertaste.

January 25, 2016 - Enofusión 2016; 1/25/2016-1/27/2016 (IFEMA - Madrid): Shortie without definition. Nothing exuberant nose. Off in the mouth.
Not the kind of champagne that I would choose for a special occasion .

Cortita y sin definición. Nada exuberante en nariz. Apagada en boca.
No es el tipo de champagne que yo elegiría para una ocasión especial.

December 13, 2015 - NV Champagne tasting (Singapore): Started with this at the tasting. Citrus, fine yeast, some exotic fruit on the nose, then something strange like eucalyptus coughing bonbons on the palate. Mousse is fairly strong, medium +. 87-88

August 2, 2014 - Light yellow colour with tiny bubbles.
Freshly baked bread, crayon and hazelnuts. Nice and easy drinking, very long and nice dry lemon finish.

April 9, 2012 - PnP. Medium+ straw toward gold color (rather rich looking in the glass, something I was not expecting). While this did not show any unwelcome signs of age on the nose, it did present as a rather rich, advanced wine, visually, and in the mouth. Aromas of buttered toast, yellow apples, citric, crushed rocks. Quite heavy in the mouth for a Brut, but, given the crowd I had on hand (more new world than old), this was most welcome. Flavors follow from the nose, medium finish. Unremarkable bead and mousse. 12,0% abv, well worth the $21 I paid. Score: B, B+ if you consider the QPR

September 7, 2010 - Negociant Champagne by Frexnet (sp?). Apple centered fruit, with toast, touches of Chocolate. Not terribly focused and showing off a bit of clip and a bit too much power for me. Nate notes "its a safe play". And I would agree, and I think its a bit of a lesser wine for being that way.

On the other hand, works very well at $42.

September 14, 2009 - Didn't take formal notes but remembered the aged champagne antique yellow color with bake apple pie with a butter crust on the nose. On the palate it was more apple, citrus, hint of quince(!) and a minerally steely frame followed by a nice crisp acidy finish. Enjoyed this.. Worked well with light curry too!
