November 19, 2017 - Despite age still benefited from decanting.

November 9, 2015 - Surprised to see how well this wine is holding up. A little hollow in the mid palate when first opened, however, after 1.5 hour decant the wine opened up beautifully and developed a wonderfully perfumed nose of flowers, cherries and dried herbs and flavors or black cherry, vanillan, spices and toasty oak framed by present, but, not over bearing tannins. Drinking well above its price point!

April 19, 2010 - Really enjoyed this wine. It was very old world and had a great funk to it. The wine fully came together after I started eating the morbier cheese. Great evening.

September 27, 2009 - This impressed me for having good body and concentration while still being light on its feet and refreshing. Light tobacco and plum on the nose while the flavors were somewhat indistinct, showcasing plum, plum tart, oak; slightly acidic and some tannin. This will cause me to seek out more Loire CabFranc.

January 2009 (link)(Domaine de la Chanteleuserie Bourgueil, Loire Valley) Light and earthy with plum, tart-cherry, spice, and saddle notes, this cool-climate Cabernet Franc is subtle and grippy on the palate. Fruit tannins show through initially, but the wine opens up nicely with aeration, softening and gaining complexity. Hot Picks
