June 20, 2009 - My introduction to Finger Lakes Region Dry Riesling - very pleasant but would have been better to have paired it with the right food rather than just drink it without food. Light yellow color. Not too much nose - light apple & lemon. Green apple flavors with tart acidity that lingers a long time; so long it makes it feel a little over-done when you are just drinking the wine by itself. Perhaps a side effect of the 0.6% residual sugar. Conversely, this would pair very well with rich creamy or fatty cheese, a shrimp or lobster dish with a sauce, or a nice cordon bleu - next time I drink this wine it will be with one of these.
