  October 17, 2021 - Dinner out in Jersey with some friends: One of my favorites of the night but to be honest I'm a bit biased. I just love this producer and these wines. Opened and decanted for sediment and then rebottled. Drinking really well. There's lots of life left so won't be popping our others too quickly, but this is that old world style and new world fruit that when it's done right I think is just killer.

  July 17, 2021 - At its apex, this wine is lovely. Very elegant. Lovely plums, herbs, tobacco, green pepper corn, espresso/mocha, light mintiness. This one is very nuanced. To me, this wine alone can show that all of the critics missies 1998.

  July 21, 2018 - Was a gift from someone who had this cellared since release. Bottle, label, fill level and cork in perfect condition. Decanted for 3 hours. No funk smell upon popping cork. Strong smells of oak and currant. Tannins still very strong despite the age but the long lasting finish was pleasant and got better with every sip. Definitely enjoy this wine with food as the flavor was brought to the next level after we started eating our NY Strip.
  
  Excellent wine but I would be extremely disappointed if I paid hundreds of dollars for it.

  May 13, 2018 - Stood up to some of the best Bordeaux, even though it was rated far lower than the 2001 la Muse, which i drank 2 weeks later, given 100 points by Parker, but turned out mediocre?
