January 31, 2024 - Popped and poured. Nice nose of black raspberry, herbs, tea and a little smoke. Medium bodied, good acidity, round and fully mature. In quite a good place at the moment.

November 25, 2023 - Kraters for the trenchermen (Les 2 Garçons): Quite a bit more mature than a bottle 18 months ago, with a musky, tomatoey nose rather than trademark Grivot blackcurrant. Clean and crisp on the palate, and sleek and sophisticated, the excellent serving temperature playing its part in that regard. Lovely wine.

October 20, 2023 - 3rd magnum of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, flavours broadly as noted in 2018, still on austere side, fine and surprisingly elegant, if slightly muted and muddy perhaps as a result of being slightly warmer than ideal following a 6 hour car journey, upside, 15+ years. At least F (17.5).

July 8, 2022 - Burgundy Tasting (Restaurant Schweitzer's, Stuttgart): Glass: Zalto Burgundy
Clear, ruby-garnet color. Spicy and dense nose with some animal notes.
On the palate medium+ acidity, well integrated oak, overall probably a bit rough. Nevertheless juicy with a beautiful texture and good length. 91-92
