June 9, 2008 - This wine is a deep golden yellow. Caramel jumps out on the nose with more subtle pears and peaches. Wow, is this gewürztraminer or sauternes? Semi-syrup mouth feel with caramel and soft acids dominating the sweet taste. Hints of toast, butter and honey follow. I paired it with grilled salmon and it was way too sweet, it will go much better with the chocolate dessert. I am not sure what to say … this is more like a Canadian late harvest. I really enjoy it, but how do I score it? It could shock you if you are not expecting it … 90?
