May 7, 2016 - Well-aged beauty - Pomegranate jelly, rich red currant and melted licorice. Glides over the midpalate with wild berry and salted caramel. A beam of strawberry lends further interest. Medium body with fantastic balance. Long, glorious finish

    November 27, 2015 - Thanksgiving wine #2; from magnum.

Color: medium-deep ruby core -> diffuse ruby rim with a touch of garnet. Bouquet of raspberries and cherries with some leather and chocolate. Others liked this more than me and plowed through the magnum fairly quickly. I thought it a bit over the top in the alcohol department and found the red fruit components just a bit too jammy for my taste. While the attack is pretty plush, there are still some light tannins; unfortunately a bitter edge on the finish keeps my score from going higher. Given that this was from a mag, I''d be inclined to be drinking any 750's soon if they were in my cellar.

September 28, 2014 - Mostly gone, or just a bad bottle very disappointing for Booker

September 13, 2014 - Popped the cherry on the Coravin for an '06 versus '12 Ripper sample tasting. Huge difference between '06 and '12. This had a dark, leathery, older paso fruit taste versus the vibrant rich and young paso fruit taste. Obvious I know, but very cool to side by side with a Coravin.
