November 11, 2014 - Lots of sweet fruit on the nose, in a really great place right now. Just starting to hint at dusty tobacco. Cherry throughout the mid and then finishes on its acids. That is in a really dynamic place right now. Opened about an hour ago.

April 17, 2013 - Excellent, drinking very well now. Not to dry, but mellowed a bit from a younger Chianti. Terrific.

    November 21, 2010 - My favorite Chianti!

August 16, 2010 - Black cherry on the nose and palate. Dark purple, tart acidity throughout. No noticeable tannins, so ready to drink now. Great accompaniment to food. Medium finish.

November 19, 2009 - Chianti (Waterford Wine Co., Milwaukee): minimal amount of new French oak, 5-10%, I am told. alcohol level is up .5% over the estate. high toned dark cherry. lightly showing some oak zest on the nose a la cinnamon. ben suggests a touch raisin, buy i'm finding it more a deep ghostly fruit note (see - barbaresco deep sweetness) true substance to this wine.
5 hours in...back to thst cherry fruit.sweet cherry. Riserva shows on the palate with much bigger oak treatment present.
