April 25, 2023 - En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Four (Bordeaux): From Double Magnum. Wet earth, slightly meaty notes over brambles, sweet spice dwells beneath this, . Juicy with medium plus intensity acidity, a little dilute and reticent on the palate but pleasant and quaffable.

May 19, 2020 - Bottle: Winebid purchase 10-12 years ago. Bottom neck fill. Cork threatened to crumble but came out intact.
Color: Quite youthful. Deep purple to ruby rim. Very pretty.
Nose: Meat, cherries, lavender, herbs and a hint of earth. Nice.
Palate: Medium bodied and somewhat tannic with a slightly bitter finish. Earthy with muted fruit flavors. Very good with a rich dry aged ribeye but not as good on its own.
Overall: Not great but exceeded expectations.

December 31, 2017 - Rather restrained bouquet. Red fruit, pastille, and forest floor aromas have an underlying note of basement dank. This is technically sound but there's not a lot going on in the mouth. It lacks expression and heft. Drink up.

December 29, 2010 - My last bottle, in magnum, with Christmas turkey dinner. Decanted, of course into a magnum decanter. Still a deep ruby with signs of age on the rim. Crystal clear with a perfumed nose with cedar, tobacco and wild berries in the background. Perfectly ready to drink, soft tannins and loads of fruit remaining (must be from the magnum format). Not as complex on the palate as on the nose but a nicely drinking wine. Decent finish. I wish I had more but alas one eventually finishes the last bottle of a vintage.

June 25, 2008 - Decent nose with some plum, but mostly cedar and leather. The palate falls quite short, thin, little to any fruit, and a lacking of any complexity found in the nose.
