January 12, 2024 - Surprised by how alive this was. Still a lot of dark fruit, plum, black cherries, blackberry jam, and lifted herbal tones (mint, sage) & a little mineral/creosote thing. Still nearly full bodied on the palate, with all that dark fruit giving way to the herb & graphite finish. Med tans & acid persist but still in balance. Probably around an early window; room for that fruit to mellow out a bit.

March 26, 2020 - Delicious. Was a little afraid this would have been over the hill. Not at all. This is a fruit packed monster that is bursting with chocolate covered cherries that seem to be filling up my mouth faster than I can swallow them. Acidity is also very much present and along with the high tannins, this is all very much in balance. My only knock on this wine is the nose seems a bit muted. I'm getting a bit of earth, but not much more than that.

June 28, 2015 - Had from a Coravin 2 months ago and reopened last night to finish it off. Good off the open, but the tannins were a bit more pronounced as it opened up more. Decent but not mind blowing claret.

June 27, 2015 - Soft, smooth and fully mature, the wine has retained its round texture and sweetness. There is no reason to age it any longer. If you have any bottles, pop a cork!

January 18, 2015 - Good nose of dark fruits, oak, spice and hints of pepper. Tannins still overpowering on the palate. Medium finish.
