June 20, 2010 - Others' notes are true to my experience too. Dark purple for color, somewhat subdued nose, but a clear powerful note of fruit, oak, and the aromas of the 14.7% emerge. Peppery and dark fruit are balanced, with the hot finish slapping you in the face. Great wine, but you need to like an extracted and high alc wine!

April 6, 2010 - Definately a restrained style of sta. Rita syrah. Nice pepper and smokey characteristics with dark berries. A bit reticent and closed but opened nicely overnight.
