December 19, 2022 - Nice glass of wine that hasn't had to lose much at this age. Nice dark fruit, wood and great melted tannins.

October 17, 2020 - Skype mtg tasting from Aus-Jpn-Swe-UK: From half-btl with a superbly deteriorated cork.
Started out as an oxidized terror but opened out to a wine that was ... neither spectacular nor characterful.
Acidic, short and not having anything moving forward.
At the end of the road, this wine still glimmers.

(Not from the hope of its future, but from the happiness of having had a small something to give, even that it's from an exceptionally poor vintage).

No score bc of the poor crumbly SH**SS-cork and not screw cork.

November 12, 2016 - Nice but a little bit thin...

January 12, 2013 - From an “early drinking vintage” at best, I’d purchased this bottle to see if this producer could make a good wine in such a vintage. While slightly bricked at the rime, it still boasts a solid cranberry core. The nose cometogether quickly with cherry, dried herbs, sandalwood and licorice. In fact, at various times during the evening, the licorice is the dominate quality of the nose. The wine offers a lighter mouthfeel, but is backed with a complex, deep and long collection of flavors. For a difficult vintage, Larmande delivers a satisfying wine. A blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Only the tiniest amount of sediment; small, extremely fine grains. 13% alc. With grilled ribeyes (beef) and tomato mushroom sauce. Recommended.
