May 14, 2022 - Wow! Picked up a few of these at a wine auction for a low price and was blown away. It may be past it’s drinking window, but it was delicious. Didn’t need much of a decant and actually tasted better without the extra air. Long, luscious, almost sexy. Excellent with bolognese. I have always been a lover of anything from the Stag’s Leap district, but had never heard of this vineyard. I am now a convert.

December 25, 2020 - Enjoyed my last bottle on Christmas day with a superb Prime Rib Roast. The same supurb full-bodied CaliCab we had previously enjoyed on two occasions had matured very nicely, with soft tannins and a very smooth finish. Made for a great Christmas.

March 30, 2020 - My last of this delicious Cabernet drank with pot roast. Delicious dark fruits integrated into a concentrated and complex mature flavor profile. Love this wine. Drink or hold.

November 27, 2017 - My second of four and a big step up from the bottle I drank in 2013. I opened the wine about 2 hours before drinking and the taste when opened told me that we would be in for a treat. Drank to accompany grilled beef tenderloin. The wine was very aromatic with earthy dark fruits, some eucalyptus. The palate was dark fruit, earth, leather. The balance was beautiful with fully integrated tannin and an elegant air. Medium finish. I would say this is at or near peak drinking.
