June 11, 2012 - Suave. Taninos aveludados. Pouco frutado.

January 17, 2012 - Light garnet with a good color. Cherry on the nose in a good cough syrupy sort of way. Carries through to the palate with nice tannins and acid. Great food wine with a little licorice on the end.

May 8, 2011 - Slow ox'd a few hours. Bright ruby red. Red and black fruit on the nose with some oaky notes swirling about. Fortunately, the oak blew off over the evening and didn't affect the palate at all. This is medium to full bodied and picked up weight as it took on air. Juicy raspberry and black pepper palate. Great lift from the acid, this drinks like a more acidic cdp. Firm tannins add complexity to the long finish.

    Good stuff!

August 23, 2010 - This wine really sang 3-4 hours after opening. Ruby. Tobacco leaf, black pepper, red berries, fruitcake and violets on the nose. Mid-full bodied with soft tanins, rich fruit, high acidity and a fairly long, spicy (black pepper) finish. Really enjoyable.
