  June 20, 2020 - Bitter note obscuring the fine juicy fruit underneath. Did recede a bit after more air in the glass (already went through a 2-hour decant) but did not go away. Faulty cork? I doubt it’s unintegrated oak, an earlier bottle drank in January 2020 was perfectly fine and delicious. This is a disappointing bottle and at odds with the many fine bottles of Ampeau I’ve had over the past year.

  May 23, 2020 - Mørkere farge enn de to foregående vinene. Mørk, rustikk og upolert nese. Et preg av fyrstikk/stjerneskudd som ikke forsvinner med luft. Svovel fra rekorking (fersk kork)? God konsentrasjon i munn og høy friskhet. Pen balanse. Fine tanniner som er godt nedslipt, men som fortsatt gir et kilende grep. Har dessverre er urent preg i munn som trekker ned.
