  January 26, 2009 - Glunz Wines Winter Portfolio tasting (union league club, chicago IL): nose: relatively tight and taught nose with tones of herbs, tar, cherries, and rose petals
  
  taste: a bit more open on the palate with medium/high acidity and medium/high tannins with good balanced tones of herbs, tar, spice tones, and bits of cherries. Fairly accessible for a young serralunga barolo
  
  overall: good promise on this barolo, and it obviously needs time. Shockingly accessible for a barolo from this part of the region as it wasn't as unforgiving as other youing serralungas that I've had. still possses the robustness of the vineyard and should be really fun when it comes around
