December 12, 2016 - Mature Pinot with great balance. Bright fruit, balanced acidity and earth notes. Delicious with King salmon. My last bottle of this wine.

July 13, 2015 - S'apparente à un pinot de l'ancien monde. Texture onctueuse et un peu de sucre mais ça demeure léger.

January 12, 2015 - Breathed around 45 minutes before serving. Dark garnet in the glass with a light ruby rim. The nose is a beautiful, heady mix of dark red fruit & allspice. Medium to full bodied. The fruit here is rich & sweet. A ripe vintage, this is still in the process of shedding baby fat. Spicy notes accent the long mid palate & silky tannins add complexity to the total package. Great finish w/ a tart edge which adds refreshment & brings you back to the glass.

September 27, 2014 - Reflecting upon other's tasting notes, this was a completely different experience.

Popped and slow ox'd for 4 hours. Nose was savory with heat. Saus bois, wet cedar, stewed black cherry, celery salt aromas. There was no discernible cola flavor. Stewed dark fruit, sharp fresh pine, some forest, celery, other savory secondary essences in this bottle. Not sweet to me at all, this finished a bit sharply and abruptly. Alcohol marred the finish as well. The mouth feel was linear and down the central portion of the palate.

After 6 hours opening, the alcohol was less apparent in the nose but continued in the finish.

All in all, a nice savory bottle of pinot reflecting both its Oregonian attributes and the 06 vintage characteristics.

July 16, 2014 - The nose is very inviting, a bit heady with alcohol, but with very attractive balsa wood and potpourri aroma. On the attack, the wood is more of a sweet hickory impression with cherries and cola/sassafras. The cola is just a bit more pronounced than I would prefer, and the alcohol is a little high; but the ripeness of the fruit is right in the wheelhouse, appealingly sweet without being heavy or cloying, almost riesling-like in that respect . In terms of how much I enjoyed this, put it this way, I intended to have a glass and half and had two and half instead. Rates very high on the pleasure meter.
