Community Tasting Notes 10

March 28, 2015 - Great bottle of wine, buttery citrus oils with firm backbone; probably as good as it will get before fruit begins to fade. Wonderful.

July 2, 2011 - Gold. Slightly cloudy when cold, clears up with slight warming. (reminds me of Aubert this way) Nose was a floral/fruit bouquet. Spring flowers, pineapple, lemon all in a vanilla cream. Mouth was same, with the vanilla smoothing out any edges. The best I've had of this wine and great for a 2006 which, IMO, isn't the best year for Cal Chards.

April 3, 2011 - I was prepared to not like this wine as I believed it would be in the camp of the high alcohol, high extract, heavy oak influence. So the surprise is that it is a very well balanced wine, and none of those things I hate in Chardonnay's. There is alcohol and oak present, but neither dominates, and fruit and mineral components equal the oak and alcohol in such a way that the wine is very pleasant with a long finish.

January 7, 2011 - Golden cloudy yellow. Incredible minerality on the palate after such a lemony, honeysuckle nose. Really strong effort.

May 30, 2010 - consistent with my previous notes - very enjoyable
