August 29, 2012 - White Rhones ($20 to $40): I am a big fan of these wines but I think this was past prime. Light gold in color. The nose shows crushed rocks, and a slight mint gum note but none of the fruit that these had when younger. A bit candied (sweet tarts) on the palate. Slight bitter, slight sweet finish. This is not only older for Grenache Blanc but had been sitting on a retailers shelf. That is was as good as it is is a testament to the wine IMO and how pure it was on release. But, it never improved in the glass and kept sliding. Drink up.

July 2, 2011 - This one tasted past its prime, a little flat, as I have thoroughly enjoyed many before this particular bottle.

February 1, 2011 - Golden color. Nose of lime and pineapple. Tastes of apple, melon, lemon, and lime fruit with a stoney minerality. Well balanced. Medium-to-full bodied. Rich finish with good depth. Drink now. This wine was much better in it's youth. 14.1% alcohol.

January 8, 2011 - Dinner at Lotus of Siam (Lotus of Siam, Las Vegas): Fresh nose of linen, white flowers, and melons. Very enjoyable palate with a subtle herb-driven flavors, honeydew, and white flowers. A wine that I think would be a great pairing with summer cuisine.
