September 6, 2019 - Opened to pair with sauteed, oven-finished Atlantic salmon with a spicy cherry tomato vinaigrette. A medium garnet in color with some browning. The nose features quite linear dark cherry with hints of COLA and oxidation. Alcohol peeking through just a bit. This was actually quite excellent with this dish, even if it is on its slippery slope heading down.

December 1, 2016 - A bit tired but still quite nice. Round- fruited style giving way to brown sugar

August 19, 2016 - P&p. Generally matches the note on a bottle consumed 1.4 years ago. Quite pretty right out of the bottle. Nice spice, restrained dark fruit, citrus peel, black tea, clean earthiness. With an hour of air the fruit fills out and reddish and light floral scents develop. Shows a touch of aged character, but still plenty fresh; this has aged gracefully, certainly wouldn't guess 10 years. Peaks at 2 hours, more pungent, expressive, cohesive, really good, but drops off soon after. Good stuff.

March 13, 2015 - P&p. Good right from the bottle; evolves nicely with a little air too, but I did take NotNYC's advice and drank fairly quickly. Smells like spicy, leathery dark fruit, black tea, and rooty earth underneath; graceful aged character. Similar on the palate - sweet-spicy dark fruit, balanced by good acidity, black tea, and earthy-stony minerality toward the finish. Tasty, moreish stuff. Bought recently at auction, and now I wish I got all 6 bottles; but I hope someone enjoys the other 4! Clearly stored well. Good stuff!

May 4, 2014 - Bit of bricking on the very light plum color
    Nice earthy nose
Started a bit sweet then came around to a elegant glass with earth, cherry and acids in tune.
Atypical CA PN - no syrup here . More Burgundian today, so it did improve with age. Some might call it thin.
As it stared to fall apart after an hour, best to drink 'em if you got 'em.
