February 18, 2024 - AP #28-08, from half bottle. Still very youthful but just starting to show some faint smokiness and creaminess, although this is still very much about its ripe primary fruit. Layers of bright citrus and tropical fruit with fresh floral and honeyed accents, and a frame that feels very light despite the copious sweetness. Love the sense of finesse here, though I'll lay off my other bottles a while longer.

February 3, 2024 - Dinner with friends (@Private location, Stuttgart): Clear, deep golden color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose. Fine vanilla, fresh Yuzu, ripe lime and apricot, some woodruff and a bit or petrol. Very fine, fragrant, elegant and deep.
On the palate at first a bit… boring. This wine needs focus and attention. It is very balanced, elegant and harmonious and not expressive and dominant. Sweetness is very well balanced by the high acidity. Only 9% abv. Lots of Yuzu with this tiny bit of bitterness, ripe apricot, herbs (woodruff). Creamy, beautiful texture. Long and lingering finish. Very joyful and animating to drink, never bold or cloying. Potential for further improvement at least for 2 more decades. 93

February 13, 2022 - Orange and pineapple notes on the nose. Nearly medium bodied (9% ABV) with a mix of yellow/golden pineapple, golden apple and yellow peach. Not quite as much depth through the middle as I'd expected and while the fruit generally showed the expected complexity, it didn't quite have the acidity to match. Backside had only lightly tart citrus notes and just a touch of light acidity, not enough to keep up with the fruit. Without the acidity to provide the structure, the soft, open fruit notes were pretty, but slightly lacking. Started to gain some additional complexity as it warmed, so my initial though was I'd just served too cold. However, I think it was the lack of acidity that held this wine back from showing as well as other vintages of this wine have. Cork was in okay, but not great shape. The fruit still showed quite well and it was certainly an enjoyable bottle, just didn't reach the heights I'd expected. Bound to be some bottle variation and if you get a bottle was the acidity that other reviewers have described, I suspect you'll be quite pleased.

Perfect botte, cool storage since release. Clear, medium golden color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose. Fine vanilla, fresh Yuzu, ripe lime and apricot, some woodruff and a bit or petrol. Very fine, fragrant, elegant and deep.

August 9, 2018 - Strong orange marmalade/sweet fruit salad with a hint of lemon on the nose really worked well. Nicely viscous but simple mid palate with mild acidity balancing out the sweetness. Still in it's primary phase. Great with a cheese/meat plate app as the sweetness and acidity complimented the saltiness. Very enjoyable but not profound.
