  October 27, 2018 - Really nice progression of tertiary flavors and bouquet are now present. Fruit is still in the fight against all the wonderfully developed nut, tobacco, cedar, spice cabinet and mushroom flavors. Very complex and tasty. Worth the wait and a pleasant surprise from a moderately priced Rutherford. Drink up!

  June 10, 2012 - I have changed my tune on this wine. It tasted fantastic, and had all the characteristics of wines from Rutherford. Granted, it had to spend 60 minutes in a decanter before it really opened up. Great fruit with some layers and depth. 7 years old though and it still needs to be placed in a decanter for 60 minutes to allow it to open up!

  October 19, 2011 - This wine was fine, but I believe the BV Rutherford is far superior. The Sterling Rutherford had good color, a great nose and probably has another 3 years left of solid drinking. I paid around $19 a bottle for this wine at Bevmo.
