  November 18, 2011 - Not much on the nose, fruit almost not existant. Unfortunately this wine is past it's prime. You should have this wine with food only as there is some tannin still present and not enough fruit to balance it out. Still some earthy notes. All in all not unpleasant but this wine has definitely seen better days.

  May 22, 2009 - reddish purple and fairly concentrated alcohol, oak, fruit black cherry and plum flavors. brisk acidity segues into a smooth, slightly sweet finish. very jummy.

  February 23, 2004 - I've always liked this wine. It displays a tremendous dark color and lots of chocolate, plum, and cigar box aromas. It tastes fresh, yet mildly tannic. Lots of juicy vibrancy out of the dark cherries on the palate, with plums, black licorice, and a hint at roasted red peppers. Nothing over the top, but delightful.
