November 3, 2022 - Drinking somewhat well though barnyard and tricloroanisole shines the most. Some autumnal spice on the palette. Noticed mold growth inside the cork when opening.

July 3, 2022 - Wow, still drinking well. Had to dig

the cork out, ran thru a filter, lot’s of sediment. Really nice aged CDP. Lovely with hanger steak.

June 5, 2020 - Cork soaked about half through but in very good shape and came out very easily with the Durand. Color still very dark, with some orange bricking around the edges only when in the light. Ok decant, the nose has a little funk, but mostly some good sour fruits. Ok pop and pour, First taste shows nice leather and wood notes finishing with some acidic light red fruit. Acid bone in this wine is alive and well.

15 minutes later, it’s settled down and is just a really lovely aged wine with nice tertiary notes but just a smattering of fruit left keeping all together. Agree with other notes it won’t get better (but definitely not tired), but very happy with the showing.

1.5 hours in the fruit has gotten denser and the whole wine has become a bit more harmonious. A nice delight with braised veal shanks.

August 14, 2019 - Barnyard, earth, leaves and wet earth with leather. Didn't do this wine justice. Was pulled cold from my cellar and served without decanting

December 18, 2018 - Very nice old Pape. Toasty, mellow, lovely
