  July 9, 2023 - Drank last night with friends after holding it >20 yr. Cork fully saturated but it drank well. Still had some fruit and was nice & smooth.

  June 23, 2018 - Stellar showing with a bottle recently bought directly from the Chateau. Must have been recorked as cork was perfect. Wine with slight sediment but wonderful nose of cedar and mushroom.

  May 4, 2012 - Brownish tinge and light in colour. The nose had a perfume of redcurrent but on the palate the fruit had passed, along with the acids and tannins. The finish was ok, there was still the structure of a well made wine, but it was past its best.

  May 31, 2008 - Drank during a lovely dinner at the Quirk's home. Ruby garnet, turning to amber at the edges. Fairly one dimensional bouquet, offering up scents of tarry leather and some dark fruits. Medium-bodied on the palate, but lacking stuffing in the middle, and a fairly straightforward finish. This bottle was likely past its best.
