  July 21, 2020 - This being the third time we have tasted this cherry wine at the winery, it is easily the best around. Sharp, delicate and soft, not cloying. A match made in heaven with the Hersheys kiss they serve with it.

  September 3, 2017 - A Personal Tasting Visit (Chateau Fontaine Tasting Room, Lake Leelanau, Mi.): Been exposed to cherry wine most of life, most of them syrupy sweet. This one is mostly just the opposite. It is elegant and delicate, and really not all that fruit forward. Shows some of the nuances of cherries that does not require sugar. The color is more salmon than expected. Of course they gave us a candy kiss, which we all know literally bonds with cherry in a match made in heaven.

  November 4, 2013 - My favorite Northern Michigan cherry wine. Not the normal mouth-puckering concoction; sweeter cherries imbue the wine with a smooth fruitiness, while maintaining just the right amount of the characteristic cherry tartness.
