December 9, 2014 - Seattle Wine Group - Dec 2014 Tasting - Theme: CA Cabs (Amaroso Room - Wine Storage Bellevue): Nose is smokey, with hints of honey, raisins, white flowers and burned sugar. The palate is full-bodied, not very sweet and with good acidity. Flavors of honey, nuts and coffee. Finish is decent, but bitter on the tail end - really hinders the desire to take another sip. Too bad.

June 21, 2014 - The clementine and oak that were very present in its youth have now given way to apricot fruit and raisiny overtones. Much more balanced, more serious, more demanding even, a sweet and savoury concoction heavy with secondary spice. Very nice. Probably at peak now but I wouldn't bet against it surviving another five years.
