July 4, 2014 - Honey and citrus on both the nose and palate. Very heavy, buttery and alcohol-y. Somewhat flat- perhaps because it's past its prime. Wish I had drunk it earlier- then maybe I'd understand the three 90-plus ratings it got from the professionals. But as is I think it was kind of ordinary.

September 11, 2011 - Some citrus, pineapple, and mineral on the nose. More of the same on the palate. Hint of oak but subtle. Medium-light body. Very nicely balanced fruit & acidity. Medium-long finish. Drinking beautifully. Great QPR.

May 8, 2010 - Probably past its prime. Not a whole lot left, but a bit of tropical and citrus fruit.

Comment: Good acidity on finish; not over oaked

(Chateau Rollat Winery Sémillon Ardenvoir, Columbia Valley) A soft touch of starfruit and mandarin orange lead to an oaky, crisp, lightly acidic finish. This wine shows what can be done with properly ripe Sémillon. About 60% of the fruit is from the Wahluke Slope, the rest from Walla Walla. Terroir: Wahluke Slope

(Chateau Rollat Ardenvoir Semillon Columbia Valley) Touches of lemon and yeast on the nose. The taste is marked by a hint of honey, a beautiful smoothness, and a crisp, tart finish. 13% alcohol.
