July 29, 2017 - Cock 58mm long wet for 2mm excellent
Colour deep garnet clear edges very slight bricking 15/15
Nose rich, fresh , vibrant , excellent intensity of cedar ,mint and violets and ripe sweet blackcurrants , chocolate liquorice , excellent nose for a wine of 22yo 29/30
Palate: The initial mouth-feel is concentrated with luscious full, rich fruits. The mid palate is sweet blackberry fruit followed by fine tannins and balancing acidity. Finish is long and velvety . A powerful and beautifully structured wine. Wonderful balance 42/44
Overall :good fruit ,good cork , add time and you have a excellent drinking experience , will probably hold at the level for another 5-10+ years 10/11 -

December 11, 2015 - Heavily stained label. Nose of dusty library, yellowed paper, and red capsicum. Palate shows prominent notes of dust and brown apple, plus red cherry and red capsicum. Acidity is bright and agreeable. Tannins are dusty and bitter, like tea-factory floor sweepings. Still drinkable, but long past its best.
