Aroma: overripe strawberries, vanilla, chocolate, asphalt and unripe raspberries.
Full- bodied and beautiful smooth texture. Dark berries, dark bitter chocolate, gooseberry, blackcurrant and oak on the palate with some bitterness
Good length with raisins
Very good wine for the price -

June 7, 2009 - Decent wine from popular 'high-end' supermarket producer. Nice and smooth but nothing spectacular. Very safe red wine but somewhat uninspiring. Would be disappointed at full retail price.

May 12, 2009 - Although this is a rather simple wine, it has its appeal. The juiciness is quite enticing, but lacks complexity. Mind you, the bottle cost 7 GBP. Great to have when sipping in the sun!
