Community Tasting Notes 2

June 24, 2009 - Decanted for about a half hour and drank over the next hour or so
Nose: Big on plums with a little stemmy vegetal aspect on it. Slight dark chocolate as well. Overall rather enjoyable.
Taste: Good fruit, plums carry over to the palate, perceivable woody oak feel. Some earthy complexities but overall just not very delicious. The general consensus among the group was that it was a little acidic and tart for our liking and the wine may possibly be past it's prime; lacking any real structure. The finish was rather unappealing. Would've tasted great a year or two ago.

March 16, 2009 - Purchased from Tesco St Stephen's. A note from memory. Strong expressive nose of currents with oak, mint and chocolate. A balanced and concentrated mid-palate with a nice mouthfeel. Good value at ~£8.50
