October 8, 2023 - Very enjoyable bottle scoring above the average here. Soft fruit balanced with a nice lively core. Like an old Hermitage on the finish. Would tend to think it won’t hold up much more.

July 14, 2023 - Had assumed this would be drifting off but its precise, garnet coloured with a tinge of orange/brown on the rim. Delicate / almost burgundian but enough structure and fruit to be really enjoyable. I don't think it will get any better but there appears no rush to drink. Much better than I expected and from my notes I bought it for £14 - what a bargain.

November 30, 2022 - Tasted after 90 minutes of air. Medium ruby with some slight bricking. Some tangy red berry fruit. A bit hollow on the mid palate. Still good balance. Just doesn't have any verve. I think this faded fast after opening and was a few points higher when popped and poured.

November 5, 2022 - Popped and poured. A light garnet color with an orange tint at the rim. Bacon fat and baking spice on the nose. Light blackberry fruit on the palate. Good persistence though. Tannins have faded away. Still some good balancing acid here. Not a powerful wine but a great well aged example of a northern Rhone. Drink up.

June 27, 2019 - Old Crozes still there and beautifully balanced. Iron, meat and red fruit. Nice gentle syrah, classy even.
