  July 20, 2008 - Summer dinner with all four parents (Paul & Kelli's deck: Settle, WA): Big pretty nose of peaches and flowers. On the palate, the fruit and flowers move to the background and are replaced with marzipan and cream. The richness of this wine paired nicely with the cream-of-cauliflower soup, but more acidity would have been welcome. Also, the finish was a touch hot, but not too bad, considering this is a 15.2% Viognier. I absolutely loved this wine in the tasting room and bought three bottles; now I'm not so sure.
