July 26, 2023 - An evening with George (Bistro Cocotte, Haberfield): Quite closed initially, dark fruits, sweet spice, blackberry, aa little wood glue. Thick, dense, a little sour, plenty of tannins, there is a sense of bitterness here, it's a bit dried out, quite foursquare. Nah

July 8, 2022 - Dark spicy fruits on the nose and palate. Quite aromatic on popping. The wine is bit brooding, hiding the deeply concentrated dark fruits behind very grippy tannins (think young Medoc style tannins). Blind, would have been hard pressed to peg this as burgundy. Quite enjoyable but not particularly reflective of the terroir. Wine should open up a bit more over the next 5 or so, not sure where the fruit will stand at that point though.

April 6, 2020 - This is closed still. Palate shows a fair bit of tannin and oak. Fruit is buried in there somewhere. Powerful. Long finish. Hold for a couple of years or more.

    December 7, 2018 - 黑色水果和可乐一般的甜美香气,橡木的存在感强了一些。酸度虽然不错,但现在喝起来单宁很重,还略显沉重和封闭。需要更多时间才能适饮。

October 31, 2018 - Still quite tannic, tight and held together. Dark black fruit. Needs more time. try again in 5 years and be interested to see how the fruit unwinds. But impressive with lots of love.
