June 15, 2013 - drunk 6/11/13. Honey gold. Fruit dominating spice on nose and palate. Not so dry as in 2009. Sadly my last bottle

May 23, 2009 - Drunk with bacon loin roast. Corks good; no ullage. Clear gold. Very reticent on nose and palate at first, possibly too cold. Opened quickly to reveal dominant soft fruit and very subtle spice. Just enough sweetness. This is not a dry wine, nor should it be. All the more praisworthy @12% ABV. Probably in its prime. Must not wait too long before addressing the other bottles.
