March 17, 2014 - Decanted for two hours and consumed over the next four. Exceptionally dark color, almost India ink in appearance. Nose was somewhat subdued but gave off some aromatics. On the palate, this was one best wines I have been fortunate enough to consume. Full, concentrated, rich and ripe fruit that stimulated all oral pleasure centers. The finish was lengthy and perfectly balanced in acidity and tannins.

February 3, 2014 - No detailed notes. Smooth, balanced - not a bomb. Strong on Day 2. Seemingly still has lots of life. Holding up much better than the EK 2006 pinots.
