August 22, 2022 - Chablis and Red Côte de Beaune Dinner (Portofino - Chicago IL): Classically bright and minerally with good weight and length. Clear Grand Cru density here. Last bottle of my case bought on release.

August 22, 2022 - Exceptional bottle that shows so very young -- full of citrus notes and crisp white fruits made more lively by buoyant, energetic acids. In the middle of a peak window.

April 30, 2020 - Lots of lemon, lemon peel and green apple with grated ginger hints. Very powerful and vibrant, with clear Grand Cru density. Great length as well, and the crunchy mineral finish is textbook Chablis. My previous bottle (from the same case) was getting tired when opened in 2015, so I am thrilled with tonight's bottle.

February 9, 2019 - 12 years of age, and - thankfully - still very well alive. Quite deep straw colour, giving me a somewhat anxious feeling that the wine is - as so many other white Chablis from teh beginning of the century - oxidized. The nose, however, sipes away the fear: first a deep tone of nuts and some honey, then the mineral, oyster-like tones emerge after some minutes in the glass, and finally some fine tones of ripe citrus. Full bodied attack, high acidity, almost tannic feeling in the first part of the mouth. Then a nutty, peach-like tone emerges, combined with citrus, chalk and oysters. The aftertaste lacks some fruit, but the mineral and citrusy tones persist for a very long time. A beautiful wine that probably is a couple of years past its prime, but still a treat to drink. A privilege to drink such wines in a world where most wines, even grand cru Chablis are drunk within the first five years.
