January 17, 2020 - Fantastic Napa cab still age worthy.

April 17, 2019 - plenty of fruit forward. expected a little more tannin structure and grip but maybe this is as good as it will get. Still plenty good. Delivers typical caymus fruit power.

February 23, 2019 - When you buy Caymus you are buying fruit not power. This wine delivers and gives you what is expected but not without losing at least a Benjamin! I think, some of the tannins have left this bottle but makes the fruit standout even more at this age. I like it very much for what it is...but I would drink up now.

January 28, 2019 - A bit jammy with more fruit forward than i would have expected given the age.

December 29, 2018 - In 2012 I rated this wine 95 points. The more my tastes develop and evolve, the less I like Caymus. I think that it is over-extracted. sweet and too fruity for a $100 wine. Clear, deep ruby. Clean nose of pronounced intensity of jammy cooked prunes and cherries, overpowring everything else. still able to smell vanilla, sweet (milk) chocolate, raisins, sweet beef jerky, a hint of minerailty. Wine is developing. On the palate, it is off-dry, medium acidity, medium plus tannins, high alcohol, full body, pronounced flavors of cooked fruit, plums, sweet beef jerky. Finish is medium+ Drink now or age further, Body+, Length+ Intensity+ Complexity is significantly lacking. I think there are a lot more interesting wines at this price point.
