April 25, 2010 - E&R's Pinot Noir-egon Weekend; 4/24/2010-4/25/2010 (Portland, OR): I much enjoyed talking to William, who has many interesting ideas on Oregon Pinot Noir... among them believing that Oregon can't make a balanced single vineyard wine. While I agree on some of his ideas about blending, I've certainly had plenty of amazing single vineyard wines... and unfortunately, I didn't find his blended wines very successful either. This one was very lush and large on the nose... typical 2006. Mild, deep fruits on the palate, which is soft, but totally boring and uninteresting. Spicy acid on the quite hot finish.

August 9, 2008 - Dark, cherry cola in the nose. Ripe. Plush , balanced with soft tannins. Very easy to drink.
