June 1, 2012 - Note from the last glass of a bottle that had been opened about 2 hours. Deep purple color. Blackberries, white pepper, smoked meat, dried herbs, underbrush, cherries, minerals, and dark chocolate on the very inviting nose. Full bodied with sold, ripe tannins and very nice acidity. A mouth full of fruit and peppery spice with some nice earthiness and minerality in the background. Long, lingering finish with some nice dark chocolate cutting through the fruit and spice. Outstanding!
