December 5, 2008 - Nice compromise between old and new world style wine, with very aromatic nose, and more structure than most californian merlots. Good expressiveness but lacks elegance.

August 17, 2008 - Deep, blood red core with next to no fade on the rim. Attractive nose of crushed berries, cherries, bitter chocolate and a hint of wet stone minerality. Lovely smooth entry with predominant stone fruits and bitter cherry acidity - acidity is long and is supported by well-worked tannins which become more pronounced on the finish. Lacking a little complexity, but good depth of flavours. Velvety, but not as rich or as chocolatey as some merlots - quite mineral.
