March 6, 2024 - A bit skewed nose but very sweet nectar bouquet. Sweet and intense with black tea, apricots and preserved peach. Refined acidic profile with ginger-sharpness in the end.

February 14, 2022 - Very deep yellow color. Peaches apricots and a tiny bit of petrol on the nose. Nice mouth feel, just the right amount of alcohol acid and sugar. Tasted peaches, apricots, and a hearty grilled pineapple. Finishes with faint notes of yeast and a bunch of fruit.

November 22, 2012 - Opened it the night before thanksgiving expecting that it could use some open fridge time to get itself together. It could use a lot of time - this is superbly concentrated and loaded with fruit. Sweet white cherries, peaches and cream. The fruit is pretty intense and doesn't really let much else come forth right now. Even at the end of thanksgiving dinner this is more like a dessert wine. Really like the potential here. If I had another bottle, I would let it sleep for at least another 5 years. 92+

August 16, 2008 - My First Look at 2007 Germans (Dee Vine Wines, San Francisco): Light green. Floral and seemingly lighter than the Brauneberger Juffer Spatlese. Good but could use more flavor intensity.

(Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Auslese) Divine and rich wine with exceptionally clean botrytis. Like a feather on the palate. The Juffer elegance in full effect here. Brilliant.
