September 28, 2014 - The fruit and complexity has subsided as the wine has passed it's prime. My fault - not the wine's. Having said this it still has positive characteristics. Good ruby colour but lacking vibrance; slightly soured cherried with mild spice dominate the flavour. Wouldnt pair well with any strongly flavoured foods. Drink now if you haven't already.

July 14, 2014 - watery, strong smoke, cured meat, smoke is overpowering

September 8, 2011 - Medium red in colour, the nose has smokey stewed cherry and tarry oak.The palate shows plum with cedar and firm stemmy tannins. The finish has savoury cherry and dark chocolate.

The wine is just starting to loose it's elegance and subtlety with darker rather than bright fruits dominant.

June 7, 2011 - Clear and dark red color with some orange hues. Rather restrained yet surprisingly smoky nose. Fresh cherries and cranberries - very nice when compared to the usual jam of red berries so often found in Aussie Pinots. Pretty light palate with fresh red berries raspberries, cranberries, cherries, lingonberries) that gives nicely room for the lively acidity; also some nice leather action there. Oak can be tasted as a slightly toasted aroma - it does not dominate but it supports the palate. Very nice, fresh and elegant Pinot; definitely one of the best I've had from Australia. Better consumed early than too late. However, its price tag of 24,60€ is way over the top. I'd price this wine around 13-16€.
